Christmas Far & Wide

Celebrate the season with festive 18th-century yuletide music from across the Western Hemisphere! This sojourn takes you to Ireland, England, France, Poland, Germany, the Czech region, New England, and Mexico. Works include a traditional Irish ballad, a lively early American anthem, an aria by the Mexican composer Manuel de Zumaya, arias by Handel and Bach, along with instrumental works by Chopin, Blanchard, Antonacci, and Milcinsky. 

A highlight of the concert will be the modern-day premiere of Graupner's cantata Siehe, der Herr kommt

From the East or the North:  From I-190 or I-495 make your way onto I-290 West to Worcester.  Take exit 18 to Ware (Rte. 9)/Framingham.  Bear right at Lincoln Street.  Bear right at Concord Street.  Continue on Salisbury Street.  Turn left at Lancaster Street to number 73. 

From the West or the South:  Either from the Mass Pike (I-90), Rte. 146, or I-395, make your way onto I-290 East to Worcester.  Take the Rte. 9 exit 17 to Ware/ Framingham.  Turn left at Belmont Street and head toward Spencer/Ware.  Bear right and head toward Lincoln Street.  Bear right at Lincoln Street.  Bear left at Concord Street.  Continue on Salisbury Street.  Turn left at Lancaster Street to number 73.

Free parking is available in the church lot off Lancaster Street.

Located near the intersection of Dartmouth Street and Boylston Street, near the Boston Public Library and the Prudential Center. The nearest subway stop is the Copley Square Station on The Green Line. On-street parking is available with meters in effect until 8 pm, or free on Sundays. Parking for $10 is available at the Back Bay Garage; you can pick up a coupon at our ticketing desk after the concert. Additional parking garages are located at the Prudential Center and at 100 Clarendon Street.
